Alexandra Mays

Alexandra Mays is a study in curiosity, craft, and quiet leadership. Born in Philadelphia and raised with the influence of her mother Audrey—who hails from the sun-washed shores of Antigua and Barbuda—Alexandra carries a global sensibility rooted in heritage and intention.

With a B.S. in Chemistry from Stony Brook University, she has spent nearly two decades immersed in the rigor of science and systems. Her career began in laboratories within the oil and gas industry, where precision and discipline were non-negotiable. From complex testing inside demanding chemical plants to the fine-tuned vigilance of a Quality Assurance Specialist, Alexandra learned to see both the details and the bigger picture. That perspective ultimately guided her through a bold professional pivot into the world of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) engineering—proof that reinvention is not only possible, but powerful.

At her core, Alexandra is a lifelong learner, drawn to new ideas no matter how niche, and energized by the process of understanding how things work. Beyond her professional life, she is deeply engaged in her community, regularly attending municipal council meetings to stay informed and to hold elected officials accountable. She is also an active member of the Antigua and Barbuda Association of Philadelphia and the DBE, honoring both her roots and her commitment to collective progress.

Alexandra’s journey is one of evolution—grounded in science, guided by curiosity, and shaped by a belief that thoughtful engagement, whether in work or community, can truly make a difference.
